Note di degustazione
Strangely cheesy on the nose but lots of very charming, healthy ripe fruit. Much fruitier and more open than most. This initially seems designed for earlier consumption than most but the fine tannins build on the finish. Long and reverberant even if not – yet? – that complex. (JR)

(this wine and the Vosne Suchots were bottled very late, in November of 2013, while some of the others, such as the Chambolle Premier Cru, were bottled as early as January of '13): Good deep red. Very ripe aromas of chocolate and mocha, with a whiff of molasses; distinct torrefaction notes. Fat, silky and smooth, with slightly peppery acidity giving shape to the dark cherry, bitter chocolate, menthol, truffle and fresh herb flavors. Seems a bit dry and flat following the Chaboeufs: I don't find a lot of sweetness today. Finishes with a cabernet-like menthol quality. A puzzling showing.
(tasted from tank): Good medium red. Cool perfume of blackberry and violet. Lush, sweet and charming, especially for Clos Vougeot, offering a rather soft texture to its dark fruit, floral and mineral flavors. This seamless wine builds nicely on the finish, which features fine-grained tannins and lingering sweetness of fruit.
