Note di degustazione
A blend of 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from an excellent-quality, cool harvest. Aged 13 months in 80% new French barrels and 20% second use. Polished, archetypal Margaux. A little dry on the end and without real lusciousness on the mid palate. It may always be a little dry. (JR)

Even in a great vintage such as 2009 (perhaps the finest for the Cabernet Sauvignon grape during my three plus decades of tasting wine), this wine, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, is still lean, austere, and uninteresting. Hope springs eternal. (Tasted once.)
