Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2015-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru les Feuselottes has a lovely autumnal bouquet, nicely defined with brambly red fruit and touches of orange blossom. There is lovely balance on the palate, very refined and quite discrete for a 2009 -- perhaps more like a 2008. Beautifully balanced with a fresh line of acidity, the 90% stem addition lends wonderful freshness on the finish. This is evolving with style. Tasted November 2015.

The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes wafts from the glass with crushed flowers, red berries and sweet spices. It possesses lovely mid-palate depth and roundness to match its understated, totally classy personality. Though quite pretty, there is an element of fragility that suggests the 2009 is best enjoyed over the next few years. The Feusselottes was much more impressive from barrel.

(100% destemmed): Good bright red. Expressive aromas of strawberry, mocha and musky earth. Sweet, concentrated and fat with fruit; wonderfully rich and creamy in a ripe-year Chambolle way, but with enough mineral, clove and roasted herb character to leaven the wine's richness. Dusty tannins should not get in the way of enjoying this wine fairly young.

(from old, degenerating vines, part on thin, rocky soil and part on deeper soil) Good deep red-ruby. Blackberry, smoke and sexy oak tones on the nose. Juicy, shapely and vibrant; a step up in intensity from the village offerings. More structure and less easy sweetness here despite the wine's full ripeness. Finishes with good rocky grip.
