Note di degustazione
The 2013 Guiraud offers caramelized pear, peach and tinned pineapple on the nose, nicely focused with a floral element emerging with time. The palate is balanced with a tang of marmalade and candied orange peel. There is plenty of attack here, though compared to other Sauternes in this vintage, it is just missing some length on the aftertaste.

Gloriously intense with rich apricot and almond paste. Really almondy. Thickly viscous and super-intense, mouth-filling richness and a long almost bitter almondy aftertaste. Tight and bright but not quite as long as the 2014 and not as fresh. (JH)
Tasted blind. Strong baked-apple/cider aroma on the first bottle. Second bottle has cider too. Broad and cidery but packed with flavour. Fresh but other tasters suggest it almost tasted as though it had been acidified. Not very typical of this producer – poor bottles?
