Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2023-2032, Neal Martin, Aug 2023

The 2013 La Fleur-Pétrus offers light brambly red fruit commingling with tobacco and dried leaves, missing fruit concentration though no greenness is evident. The palate is medium-bodied with light but pliant tannins. Pretty blackberry and raspberry fruit mix with black pepper, clove and meat juices. It has a nice savory finish. This will drink well over the next four to five years. Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year On tasting.

Dark shaded garnet. Strong hint of iodine on the nose here. And some fruit and well-managed tannins on the palate. Very minor key but a minor success! (JR)

Appealing concentration to the raspberry and blackberry fruits on the opening beats, and finely-boned tannic hold. This has a graceful character, fresh acidities and a hint of undergrowth and tar. Not escaping the vintage as it slides to tertiary expression, but with grip and finesse.

Tasted blind. Mid garnet. Leafy but quite fragrant. Then pretty lean in the middle and dry on the finish. (JH)
