2ème Cru Classé Already some age at the rim. Oh so light nose. Perfectly fine balance. Quite lively. This could happily be drunk by the relatively undemanding already. (JR)

For this vintage, this wine seems soft and evolved. Medium to dark ruby with an attractive, relatively mature nose of dried herbs, cedar, black cherries and currants, it is medium-bodied, cleanly made, and best drunk over the next 7-8 years.
Quite deep. Not much nose. Pleasant and easy on the palate, but not exciting. This is for early drinking and did not mark a new chapter for the property. (JR)
Bluish purple with thin watery rim. Youthful, explosive nose with just a hint of leafiness. Some smoked meat character too. Lovely supple spread of ripe fruits – redcurrants? – over the palate. Neat, dry tannins. Not enormous but well balanced and a good drink. Hooray if this means that the property will now realise its full potential. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

The Quié family purchased Pauillac Fifth Growth Ch. Croizet-Bages in 1942, adding Rauzan-Gassies four years later. Once part of the same estate as the neighbouring Rauzan-Ségla, this Margaux property was split off in time for the 1855 Classification, earning Second Growth status.
