Note di degustazione
A sleeper in this vintage, the 1975 Rauzan-Gassies may well be the best wine produced in the Margaux appellation after Palmer and Giscours. It has excellent dark ruby color, a deep, rich, oaky, black currant-fragrant bouquet, a chewy, full-bodied, very concentrated feel on the palate, and a tannic, long finish. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000. Last tasted, 5/84.

Informazioni sul produttore

The Quié family purchased Pauillac Fifth Growth Ch. Croizet-Bages in 1942, adding Rauzan-Gassies four years later. Once part of the same estate as the neighbouring Rauzan-Ségla, this Margaux property was split off in time for the 1855 Classification, earning Second Growth status.
