Quite a lot of sulphur on the nose. Old-fashioned and astringent. Clumsy wine. Light-struck? (JR)

Not showing as well from the bottle as it did from the barrel, the wine offers fresh, lively, waxy lemons, grapefruit, spice and floral notes. Refreshing and mineral driven, this is already drinking well.
Subtle hints of pineapple, Thai lemongrass, orange blossoms and crushed rock jump from the glass of this medium bodied wine made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Very rich and loaded with intensity, this is a beauty from the owners of Chateau Margaux. Drink it over the next 15+ years.
Pale straw. Rather inexpressive nose hints at gooseberry, grapefruit, chalk and talcum powder. Much fruitier on the palate, offering ripe melon and fig notes. Finishes clean and moderately long. The yield here was a reported 30 hectoliters per hectare but I don't get quite the concentration I would have expected from that crop level.
