2002 Seven Acre Shiraz

The 2002 Shiraz Seven Acre (from 15-year-old vines) is a structured, concentrated, intense effort with inky, blueberry, and blackberry fruit intermixed with camphor and loamy soil notes, fabulous length, and a full-throttle finish that lasts over 45 seconds. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following 15+ years. If I had to select the number one Australian winery, it would be hard not to choose the Greenock Creek Winery, run by the humble, shy Michael and Annabelle Waugh.
