Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2007-2022, Robert Parker, Oct 2005

The 2002 Shiraz Seven Acre (from 15-year-old vines) is a structured, concentrated, intense effort with inky, blueberry, and blackberry fruit intermixed with camphor and loamy soil notes, fabulous length, and a full-throttle finish that lasts over 45 seconds. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following 15+ years. If I had to select the number one Australian winery, it would be hard not to choose the Greenock Creek Winery, run by the humble, shy Michael and Annabelle Waugh. The quality that emerges from this estate is extraordinary. In short, these are thrilling, world-class wines that are about as compelling as wine can be. Importer: Dan Philips, The Grateful Palate, Oxnard, CA; tel. (888) 472-5283
