Note di degustazione
This 100% Merlot cuvee has put on weight since I tasted it last year. It reveals a beautiful, exotic, coffee bean, sweet cherry, and cassis-scented bouquet as well as superb charm, lushness, and fruit. Reminiscent of a lighter-weight Le Pin, this beauty can be drunk now or cellared for a decade. It will not make old bones.

Good dark red. Aromas of redcurrant, mocha, coffee and roasted meat. Rather suave texture, with cherry, mocha, tobacco and spice flavors nicely framed by a firm edge of acidity. Slightly herbal but ripe. Finishes with reasonably sweet tannins.
Good red-ruby. Plum, blackberry, licorice, chocolate, smoke and sandalwood on the somewhat cool nose. Cool flavors of plum, licorice and fresh herbs show modest sweetness and solid structure. Finishes with dusty tannins. A bit lacking in pliancy.
Mid to light crimson. Pretty start but very dry on the palate. Very hard work at this stage and not much sign of life on the mid palate to compensate. (JR)
