Sweet, creamy nose. Heavier than many Côte d’Or wines. Bone dry on the palate with some real nerve. Not expensive. A worthy try. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish. (JR)

Good pale green-tinged color. Pure aromas of pineapple and wet stone, with a fusel, riesling-like smokiness. Dense, sweet and tactile, with a saline minerality and floral high notes giving this unusual character and complexity for its appellation (Hervet describes this southeast-facing slope as "like a little Corton-Charlemagne"). Finishes long and brisk, with a distinct white soil quality.

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
