Note di degustazione
Good medium red. Sexy, focused aromas of cherry, licorice, spicy oak and soil. Sweeter and lusher in the middle than the village offering, with almost claret-like blackcurrant flavor and a light touch. A round, seamless, elegant style with a smooth back end. Sweeter than the village wine but still classically dry.

(from 60+ year old vines). This is slightly riper with a very spicy black pinot fruit nose that complements rich, cool and palate staining medium-bodied flavors that are also blessed with sophisticated (though not invisible) tannins and a lovely mouth feel on the balanced, velvety and admirably long finish.
Full red. Sweeter aromas of black raspberry, coffee and minerals. Conveys a powerful impression of sweetness but with a cool, almost medicinal reserve that promises a long evolution. The roast coffee note repeats in the mouth. Extremely long. It was important not to overextract in 2008, noted technical director Michel Mallard.
A blend of the produce of two parcels and they may decide to bottle the produce of the upper parcel, which constitutes about 40% of the whole, separately in some vintages. Dark crimson. Rich, briary and gamey on the nose. Very good balance. Real energy here. Long and reverberant. (JR)
