Pale bright yellow. Austere aromas of grapefruit pith and stone, with high notes of lavender and violet. Dense, rich, seamless and light on its feet, with pear and citrus fruit flavors given punch by a strong crushed stone element. This very young chardonnay finishes with excellent sneaky length. I happened to taste this next to a decent Corton-Charlemagne and the two wines showed more similarities than differences.
