Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2010-2018, Robert Parker, Jun 2007

There is plenty to like about this medium to full-bodied St.-Emilion, including sweet notes of black currants, cherries, figs, plums, and underbrush. At the same time, the tannins seem slightly elevated and are borderline astringent. There is good density and plumpness, but the jagged finish needs to become better integrated. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2018.

Good dark red. Aromas of redcurrant, truffle and cocoa powder, with a peppery nuance. Supple on entry, then rather sweet and easygoing, with good density for the vintage. Finishes with chewy, building tannins and a sweetly spicy character. But the 2006 has more structure.

Medium red-ruby. Sexy, perfumed aromas of cherry, raspberry, flowers and spicy oak; showing the Vosne-Romanee side of this St. Emilion. Then silky and downright suave on the palate, with an exotic spiciness and harmonious acidity framing the sweet fruit. Finishes juicy and long, with lovely perfume and cut and a suggestion of fresh herbs. Less dense than the 2005 but very pure.

(97% merlot and 3% cabernet sauvignon) Good medium ruby. High-pitched, high-toned, precise aromas of blackberry, violet, rose petal, minerals and mint; even more like Vosne-Romanee than usual. Sweet, supple and juicy, with sappy flavors of crushed black fruits, spices and bitter chocolate. Not overly fleshy or sweet but has good density, suave tannins and lovely persistence.
