The 2000 Nuits-St.-Georges Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges has an aromatic profile composed of stones and black pit fruits. Pruney dark fruits and black cherries are intermingled with mocha in this medium-bodied effort's personality. Bright ruby-red. Expressive aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, iron and smoke. Silky, rich, seamless and quite aromatic in the mouth; distinctly suaver and lusher than the foregoing samples. Finishes with fine, ripe tannins. These vines on stony soil were picked first in 2000.
