Brick rim. Thick and sweet on the nose. Round and easy with some freshness on the palate. Well done, Michel Rolland. (JR)

Acid a bit obvious – perfectly fine but no soul. A bit dry and dull on the end. (JR)
Red-ruby. Complex nose combines black raspberry, mocha, coffee, tobacco and currant leaf. Offers a lush texture, with notes of mocha, coffee, smoke and game. Comes across as cooler than the 2004 but this is juicy and suave.
A fine offering from proprietors Dany and Michel Rolland, the 2002 exhibits sweet cherry and currant fruit intermixed with roasted nut, spice box, and wood characteristics. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by a wine with an attractive texture, good flesh and succulence, and a soft, silky finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
