2010 Saintem

Bright ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of blueberry liqueur and violet. Lush on entry, then very ripe and dense in the middle, with a velvety texture to the black fruit flavors. This is actually quite dry and laid-back for all its ripeness, and possesses good energy and underlying structure. Finishes with very suave, palate-saturating tannins and nice length. A very good vintage for this wine, which is made by Denis Durantou, the owner of L'Eglise-Clinet.
