Note di degustazione
Medium red. Highly complex aromas of sweet raspberry, dill, brown spices, rose petal, menthol, gingerbread and underbrush. Large-scaled and round but not at all overly sweet. A chewy, rather brooding and youthfully clenched Bonnes-Mares that turns sweeter toward the back, finishing with molten tannins and slightly austere hints of licorice and spice.

(Potel has four barrels of this juice, from four sources; I tasted a blend from tank and barrel) Deep ruby-red. High-toned, superripe aromas of strawberry, beefsteak tomato, black pepper and smoke; conveys an almost roasted ripeness. Very rich but adamantly dry, and tough to taste today. In a sullen stage, and not showing much verve despite conveying an impression of high volatile acidity, which would normally give a young wineÂ’s fruit more lift. But this is impressively full, fat and long.
