The 1998 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru offers up aromas of raspberry preserve, forest floor and creamy new oak, followed by a medium-bodied, bright and chalky palate that's still somewhat firm and taut. The wine reflects the challenging vintage and will probably always lack charm.
