A lovely wine that I have never seen before, this equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon displays elegant, pure, attractive red and black currant fruits intermixed with some tobacco leaf and underbrush. Its loads of fruit, nice, plump opulence and consumer-friendly personality make for a wine to drink over the next 5-6 years. (A member of the Association of Crus Bourgeois du Medoc.)

50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very little on the nose at first, though starts to show some fruit sweetness, ripe cherry. Flavours are quite simple but the structure shows balance and finesse. (JH)
Mid purple. Lightly inky nose but not very intense. A bit awkward and acid. Rustic structure. For masochists? (JR)
Tasted at Vintex. The nose is very ripe with blackberry, cassis and a touch of mint. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, nicely balance, nonchalant, supple and pure towards the red-berried finish. Understated and well crafted. Tasted March 2010
