A seductive, delicious, forward blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2011 Cantenac displays a deep ruby/plum color along with sweet cherry, black currant, licorice and forest floor-like notes, medium to full body, and a juicy, succulent personality displaying none of the hard edges or hollowness that can plague some 2011s. Drink it over the next 10-12 years. It is a sleeper of the vintage.
