The 1998 Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard is another very pretty and nuanced wine. Smoke, tobacco, game, earthiness and wild herbs give the 1998 its distinctive aromatic profile. Although a bit rough around the edges on the palate, the 1998 Bien Nacido Syrah is another wine that has aged well. I would prefer to drink any remaining bottles sooner rather than later.

The 1998 Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard was harvested on November 17, 1998, from one of the coolest Syrah vineyards in Santa Barbara. Aromas of fruitcake, licorice, dried herbs, tar, and black currants jump from the glass of this fragrant, elegant, less weighty Syrah.
