Rich and seductive. Meaty and broad and ripe. An edge of tarmacadam. Serious stuff. Very dry finish after an opulent start. No-one could object to this is given as a gift. (JR)

A little less opulent than some 2009s. Quite tough at the moment. Sucks the juices out of the palate! One for the cellar? (JR)

Rather over the top, overripe, almost bloody nose. Not at all sweet on the finish. Quite a controversial wine! Very strong statement. Lacks freshness. (JR)
