Dark ruby/purple-colored with a forward, evolved nose of spice, black cherries, and toast, this supple, round, generous, medium to full-bodied wine possesses low acidity and some tannin in the finish. There is good delineation to this plump, succulently-styled wine that can be drunk now as well as over the next dozen years.

Amazing quality for this estate. Bubbling over with blackberries, violets and cherries, adding hints of new wood. Full-bodied, concentrated, with loads of silky tannins and a long, long, flavorful finish. New World-style Bordeaux. Best from 2005 through 2015. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1998.
