2001 Marsau

A sleeper of the vintage, this excellent wine, which has been consistently fine over recent years, is a testament to proprietor Jean-Marie Chadronnier’s efforts. Basically 100% Merlot, the deep ruby/purple-colored 2001 exhibits elegant, raspberry and sweet black cherry notes intermixed with hints of plums, licorice, and truffles. Expansive on the palate, medium-bodied, and pure, this is a tasty, plush red to consume over the next 7-8 years. Bravo!
