A consistently well-made effort from the dynamic duo of Nicolas Thienpont and Thierry Valette, La Prade’s 2006 is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of black currants, sweet cherries, and subtle herbs are followed by a pure, round, ripe, tasty wine revealing crunchy fruit and a good finish. Drink it over the next 2-4 years.
(14.5% alcohol) Medium ruby. Aromatic nose combines blackberry, violet and licorice. Bright, serious and concentrated, with juicy black fruit and bitter chocolate flavors framed by big but ripe tannins. A big and ripe wine whose finish is given lift and verve by the limestone-rich soil.
Informazioni sul produttore

Nicolas Thienpont purchased this estate in the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux in 2000. The seven hectares of vines average 40 years in age, divided between 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, sitting partly on the limestone plateau in the village Saint-Cibard.
