2000 Nuits St Georges Clos de Forets

Medium red. Aromas of red and black fruits and spices; less expressive than the Clos de l'Arlot. Then full, rich and spicy, with very good density and a smoky nuance. Less perfumed than the Clos de l'Arlot but nicely bright and delineated. Finishes with fine, edgy tannins and strong spicy character. This is usually a denser, more powerful wine than the Clos de l'Arlot, but in 2000 the difference in quality is not obvious.
