Note di degustazione
Although the colossal 2005 Bellefont-Belcier overshadows the 2004, the latter wine is an excellent effort displaying a dark ruby/purple color as well as a sweet perfume of loamy soil nuances interwoven with black cherries, currants, licorice, and a touch of herbaceousness. It is medium-bodied with good concentration, decent acidity, and a spicy, long finish. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.

Very rich, sweet and heady – quite supple until some rather inky tannins kick in on the finish. Very flattering and sweet. (JR)
Intense aromas of blackberry and orange peel follow through to a full-bodied palate, with chewy tannins and a long finish. Impressive concentration for the vintage. Best after 2010. 3,275 cases made. James Suckling,Wine Spectator 2007.
