Note di degustazione
35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 57% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot. Thierry Budin joined CA Grands Crus and became president of the château. Improvements were made to the second reception of the grape harvest. Lustrous layered crimson. Not much nose and pretty cool and restrained on the palate. Very pinched, but one feels this is because of the raw material rather than what’s done with it. Fairly fast fade. A bit simple. (JR)

Sweet oaky nose. Dusty fragrance. Very firm and chewy but not as tough as some in this flight. Better overall balance with some dark fruit in the middle. (JH)
This spicy, medium-bodied, narrowly constructed, fresh, vibrant, floral-scented 2011 lacks enough substance and depth to support its structure. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
55% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc. Light and weedy. Not enough flesh. Not bad, just unsatisfying. Shame, because the oak is nicely integrated, and the fruit is ripe. But it is too light. Symptomatic of, and faithful to, the vintage, at least. (RH)
