Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2012-2015, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, May 2013

100% Pinot Noir from a blend of approximately five premier-cru vineyards in Beaune, including Pertuissots, Theurons, Avaux and Clos de l'Ecu. With the exception of December the 2007/2008 winter was mild. April was cool but humid and summer arrived in May with sunny periods at the end of June and July. Rain then followed causing some disease in the vineyard and careful management was required for quality. Grapes were destemmed and underwent a fermentation as natural as possible in open tanks lasting 25 to 33 days. Each premier cru was vinified separately and then aged in wooden barrels for 15-18 months. RS <2 g/l. Sweeter smelling than the Drouhin Chorey-lès-Beaune 2008. Juicy, very fresh, bright and lively. Dry and oak-spicy on the finish, with gentle tannins and nice length. (JH)
