2007 Amarone Capitel Monte Olmi

The estate's 2007 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Monte Olmi is rich and imposing throughout. There is no shortage of volume or resonance in the 2007. I find some of the flavors a bit forward, likely a combination of the year and the influence of oak, but the 2007 should drink nicely for at least a handful of years. With time in the glass the wine opens up nicely. Dark raspberries, tar, crushed flowers and spices leave a lasting impression.
