Note di degustazione
Medium red. Aromas of red berries, menthol and licorice, with the exotic herbal component characteristic of this property's wines. At once smooth and lively in the mouth, with notes of raspberry, spices, herbs, leather, pepper and underbrush. Much livelier and more delineated than the 2003. Finishes spicy and persistent.

The medium to dark ruby-colored 2002 Morey-St.-Denis displays sweet blackberry, spice, and wax aromas. Broad, fruit-forward, and lush, it is medium-bodied, soft, and offers black pepper-laced dark fruits. This delicious, generous wine is enormously appealing but short. Drink it over the next 5 years. Dark red. Very ripe aromas of exotic fruits, espresso, leather and smoke; reminded me of the 2000. Sweet, round and ripe, with flavors of briary fruits, spices, smoke and underbrush. A distinctly supple wine that should provide early pleasure. Finishes with moderate length.
Cask sample . Sweet and smudgy and beguiling. Rich and easy. Some of those coffee flavours. Dry finish. Very seductive. Broad and smoky, with a hint of torrefaction. Relatively crisp and forward. Ripe strawberries. Tannins on the finish. (JR)
