Note di degustazione
The 1970 Cheval Blanc is drinking very nicely, offering up aromas of sweet plummy fruit mingled with notions of burning embers, tobacco leaf, violets and cedar. Medium-bodied, with a fleshy core of fruit, supple, largely melted tannins and a persistent finish, rumors of its demise are much exaggerated.

An extraordinarily burgundian red bordeaux. (From memory the 1971 was more convincing.) Pale ruby, very light and fresh – sweet and perfumed. Cool somehow and pretty rather than beautiful. Very slightly slight. (JR)
From The Purple Notebook – Bill Baker’s Dinner at the Blueprint Cafe Very dark tobacco. Sweet and round. Long, light and fully evolved. Dark brick. Sweetly fragrant. (JR)
Consistently a disappointment, this herbaceous, lightweight Cheval Blanc shows considerable amber to its color and has notes of earth, ashtray, spice box, and some currant fruit. In the mouth, it is rather narrowly constructed and already in decline. Last tasted, 11/02. Jan 2003, www.robertparker.com
Informazioni sul produttore

Ch. Cheval Blanc is one the finest producers in Bordeaux. The Saint-Emilion estate’s Cabernet Franc-dominant wines are consistently among the top wines of the vintage.
