Note di degustazione
This medium-to-dark ruby/purple-colored wine has a delightfully elegant and feminine nose of candied cherries, raspberries, smoke, and Asian spices. This deeply ripe, dense, broad, medium-to-full-bodied, and expansive wine is intense, powerful, and muscular, yet is completely refined and focused. Its chewy-textured and cassis and blackberry-flavored personality needed air to blossom the day of my tasting (remember, these wines have never been racked). Its admirably long and pure finish is crammed with ripe tannins and new oak flavors. It will require several years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2010+. Bravo! Jean-Yves Bizot is a rising star. A Patrick Lesec Selection (Paris Fax # 011-33-1-42-84-38-22), various American importers.

Good full red-ruby color. More reticent, brighter aromas of red fruits, tobacco and brown spices. A step up in flavor intensity and sweetness. This has a supple texture and some density, and finishes with finer, sweeter tannins and subtle length. But still in a rather gentle style, with modest thrust.
