Mid crimson. Very heady and gamey and almost caricature new-style right bank/Rollandian. Thick and sweet and less fresh and engaging than some. A little chewy on the end yet there’s a hint of rusty nail too. Decidedly furry. (JR)
Blackish ruby. Very sweet and luscious with a charred-meat overtone on the nose. Refined and fully mature fruit on the palate. Hardly any tannin left in evidence. (JR)
Looks quite evolved at the rim. Round and relatively light but pleasant – sort of Feytit Clinet style. Lots of energy here. Even if not desperately sophisticated. (JR)
