Note di degustazione
From an especially low-yielding and tiny-berried selection, Potel reports, his 2005 Vosne-Romanee Les Beaux Monts – of which there is but a single barrel – features aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, brown spices, flowers, truffle, beef broth, and iodine. Richly-fruited and silken-textured on the palate, this offers a remarkable elegance and refinement and subtle mineral, floral, animal and fungal inflections for all of its very obviously sweet, ripe fruit. Long, broad, and rich, it will be hard to resist early on, but I suspect its complexity will be more dramatically in evidence after 6-8 years in the bottle. Good red-ruby. Reduced aromas of black cherry and menthol. Dense and powerful but reduced and hard to view today. This very primary wine shows a chocolatey ripeness. Finishes broad and long, but will it have the lift to be truly outstanding?
