Note di degustazione
Good full ruby-red. Explosive, wild aromas of blackberry, leather, game, minerals, iron, brown spices and cocoa powder; I might have picked this as Romanee-Saint-Vivant from the nose. Sweet, generous and creamy, with very suave flavors of black fruits, game, leather and licorice. Very supple, broad, horizontal wine, finishing persistent and subtle, with sweet tannins. (Jadot's Vosne Suchots showed superb sweetness and concentration of fruit, and a similar breadth of tannins as the Beaumont , but was still finishing its malolactic fermentation.)

Cask sample. Very deep crimson. Extremely embryonic compared to the wines above. Lots of matière – very impressive, but still surly. Not sweet like so many wines above, just dense and brooding and convincing. Dry notes on the finish seem to come more from the barrel than raisined grapes (?) (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
