Showing far superior than it did in barrel, where it was awkward and disjointed, this 2009 has completely come together. The oak is pushed to the background in this very ripe wine, which exhibits loads of glycerin and smoky barbecue notes intermixed with black cherry liqueur, cassis and a hint of black truffles. Drink it over the next decade.
