2009 Cassagne-Haut-Canon-la-Truffiere

Ever since I bought the 1989 of this wine, I have been generally disappointed in its performance in virtually every vintage. Not so in 2009. While they haven’t hit a home run, they have certainly made a very fine wine, with a dense plum/purple color and notes of graphite, raspberry, black currant and spice box. Attractive, with impressive concentration and a lush texture, it should be drunk over the next 5-7 years.
