Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 1990-2015, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Mar 2010

Bricky red but still red and bright. Deeper than the Vray Croix de Gay. Quite meaty, but also fresh and lightly spiced. Meatiness blows away to a certain extent to reveal; something more fragrant. Pretty dry and a bit flat on the palate – not as good as the nose promised – but still a polite older lady. With time in glass, more intense fruit sweetness and much less meat though the savoury flavours persist on the palate. (JH)

Punteggio 87/100 · Da bere 1995-2001, Robert Parker, Dec 1995

Although this soft, fleshy, ripe-flavored wine has been ready to drink for 5-6 years, it exhibits no sign of color degradation or fruit loss. Round, supple, and generous, with plenty of lush, thick, earthy, blackcurrant fruit intertwined with herbaceous scents, this chunky, husky wine should continue to drink well for another 5-6 years. Tasted 3 times since bottling with consistent notes.
