Round and juicy and fresh. Very direct and well balanced. Not the most concentrated 2010 Médoc perhaps but this certainly shouldn’t disappoint. (JR)

Rather stewed fruit. Tart on the palate. (JR)
Tannic but lacking mid-palate weight – refreshingly light, for the vintage, in fact. Liquorice-scented finish. (RH)
Extremely rich on the nose then gorgeously smooth and polished but with freshness. Almost Margaux-like with a 2010 density. Very impressive at this stage. Just falls away a little on the end. A tiny bit stringy, but very well done! Tasted later the same day: Very dark blackish crimson. Heady wine taken to the limit of ripeness. Luscious in the mouth with sufficient acidity. Lots of tannin but no excess of sweetness nor alcohol. A bit sweet and soft. Certainly better than any wine from this property that I can remember. (JR)
