2002 Vosne Romanee Les Petits Monts

Good ruby-red color. Black raspberry, bitter chocolate, mint and strong oak on the somewhat medicinal nose. Juicy but tight and closed in on itself, lacking texture. Some herbal notes and astringent oakiness give this a distinct dryness, with the finish showing some bitter tannins.
