2007 Liber Pater

This was the most popular of the Liber Pater vintages around the table, as it is fully in its drinking window, and shows a sappy, fragrant balance. Shows finesse, crunchy redcurrant and pomegranate fruits, and the classic sage and fennel spices that are signature to this wine. As ever with Liber Pater, don't expect a blockbutster, instead it leans into a cooler vintage, sculpted and mouthwatering. It would have been partly aged in oak barrels unlike the wines of today (fully unoaked as of the 2011 vintage).
