From the Baron Guichard family, this wine, which has some Malbec, but primarily Merlot and much less Cabernet Franc, has a solid, round, well-constituted style. It is a chunky and monolithic wine, but is concentrated and medium-bodied, with lots of earthy black fruits. Drink it over the next 6-8 years.

Notably dark purplish crimson. Very full, voluptuous nose with good freshness and zest and just a very slight question mark over the dryness of the tannins on the finish. But this is confidently made wine that is likely to be GV (JR)
