Note di degustazione
The 1997 Beychevelle has a light, rustic bouquet with degraded red fruit, musk and iron piping scents, maybe just a hint of brettanomyces. The palate is medium-bodied with dusty tannins and ferrous red fruit; again, it's a little bretty with a finish that suggests drinking in the very near future is advisable. Tasted at the Beychevelle vertical at the property.

Sinewy and light to medium-bodied, with firm tannin as well as a soft, evolved style, this diluted effort is pleasant, but lacking body, concentration, and length. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
Fresh and fruity wine with mineral and cherry character. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins. Drink now. James Suckling,Wine Spectator 2000.

Informazioni sul produttore

With greater care in the vineyard and more precision in the winery, Ch. Beychevelle's star is rising. That's in large part due to the leadership of Philippe Blanc and investment by current owners, Japanese brewers Suntory and French wine group Castel.
