The dark garnet color and the spicy, earthy nose are pleasant, but uninspiring. However, in the mouth the wine reveals surprising richness, fine body, amazing freshness, and plenty of tannin in the finish. It is not great, but it is still alive and kicking. Anyone lucky enough to have a few bottles should drink them over the next decade.
