Good bright red. Vibrant aromas of black cherry, smoke, leather and minerals, with a wild meaty nuance adding complexity. Juicy and firm, if a bit youthfully spiky today owing to its solid acidity. On the lean side for a wine from this domain, and just a tad rustic on the back.

(malo just finished) Good full red. Slightly reduced aromas of black cherry, currant, coffee and meat. Ripe, chewy and dry, with an almost salty element. Finishes quite firm, with good cut and a hint of leather. In an unsettled stage today. (Incidentally, Dugat's Bourgogne Rouge offers terrific potential.)
A potent mix of Gevrey earth and pretty red pinot fruit and underbrush leads to rich, precise and nicely detailed medium weight flavors that are delicious and offer excellent balance. This is not exceptionally concentrated yet the balance is such that this should age well over the next decade. This is very pinot in character but with ample Gevrey style earth.
