Note di degustazione
Quite dark and lustrous with pale ruby at the rim. Subtle and well balanced. Low key but very gentle and this seems to be at its apogee. Delicate, smoky (but not charred) notes and very gentle, melded tannins. Neat finish. Very unshowy but offers lots of pleasure and an attractive sweetness. (JR)

Notably deep, healthy colour. Notes of meat extract on the nose plus some herbaceousness. By no means harmonious now with a very chewy finish. (JR)
This flashy, flamboyant 2001's big, spicy, oaky nose reveals scents of jammy black cherries as well as strawberries. Opulent and medium-bodied, with low acidity, abundant wood notes as well as impressive levels of fruit, this is a heady, modern-styled St.-Emilion to consume over the next 7-8 years.
Overripe nose, but relatively gentle on the palate. No great stuffing, but pretty hard tannins. (JR)
