Note di degustazione
A bundle of blackberry and cassis fruit; licorice and leather, a slight herbal quality, though not in an un-ripe way. Stunning violet aromatics just beginning to emerge, hinting at future development. Subtle piquant spices too. Dry, structured but approachable tannin, and a medium-light body. This is entirely user-friendly, without the structure to suggest very long-term potential, although the fruit is dense enough to live for a few more years. (RH)

Bright ruby and glowing with health. Very much an expression of the vintage with real vitality – not big but confident and well made. Healthy and very rewarding to drink. Apparently this came top of any Bordeaux second wines in the firsts organised by Decanter. (JR)
Very, very deep crimson. Ripe fruit with very slight herbaceousness. Full and ripe, but slightly formless. Actually rather lowish acidity. Sandy tannins. Chewy. Chunky. Very dry end from the Lynch Bages stable. (JR)
