2003 Morey St Denis Les Chaffots

Bright red-ruby. Cool aromas of raspberry, minerals and mocha, with a rocky underpinning; rather Chambolle-like on the nose. Then juicy and tender in the mouth, with complex notes of redcurrant, iron and mocha. Finishes with big, dusty tannins and very good persistence. Most of these vines were planted in 1968, the remainder in 1978.

Loads of red and black cherries can be found in the aromatic profile of the 2003 Morey-St.-Denis Les Chaffots. Armed with gorgeous depth, concentration, and packed with sappy dark fruits, this is an intensely flavored, fleshy wine. Its rich, dark fruit flavors linger in its long, lush finish.
